A 169 cm tall right-footed center-back, Giovana Maia joined Donna Roma in July 2025. Originally from Brazil, she has played for Red Bull Bragantino, Marítimo, Empoli, Parma, and Panathinaikos. Internationally, she has represented Brazil at the U17 and U20 levels, and later the Portugal U23 and senior national teams. Her achievements include winning the Brazilian Serie B in 2021 and debuting for Portugal’s senior team in February 2024. Giovana is a complete center-back—strong, composed on the ball, and dominant in defensive duels—with the vision to build from the back.
